  • Shaun Chatterton

    Job title: CEO

    Shaun Chatterton is the founder and CEO of CPD plc, one of the UK’s largest independent distributors of cleaning and hygiene products, serving clients in the UK, across Europe and around the world. During CPD’s 25-year trading history, the company’s turnover has grown every year and has achieved a cumulative total in excess of £200 million. Shaun is a well respected figure in UK industry, and in October 2011 he had his first business book independently published - ‘Think Big and Make a Difference - The CPD Way’.

  • Dr Andrew Gill

    Job title: Technical Director

    Dr Andrew Gill was originally employed as a researcher under a Technology Strategy Board Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between CPD and the University of Sheffield. Now responsible for the technical development of the Floreon project, Andrew’s PhD research – which focussed on the creation of implantable medical devices made from biopolymers, for the repair of damaged nerves and corneas – lead to the publication of numerous peer reviewed papers and conference presentations, and was even featured on BBC news.

  • Dr John Williams CSci CChem MRSC

    Job title: Non Executive Director

    John is a non-executive director at Floreon. He was previously Head of materials at the UK’s National Centre for Renewable Technologies (NNFCC). Having previously spent over 20 years in technical and marketing roles in the polymer industry, and prior to joining the NNFCC ran his own consultancy company specialising in adhesives and surface coatings, which included the development of a compostable self-adhesive system, John is an expert in technologies and markets for renewable materials. His in-depth knowledge of the global supply chain in, feedstock, manufacture, processing and marketing as well as post use issues in recycling and disposal is key in helping Floreon develop.

    John is a chartered chemist and an experienced industrial technical director, having worked extensively in product and process development for both multinational and SME organisations in the adhesives and polymer coatings industries.

    John holds a degree in Chemistry and doctorate in polymer chemistry and is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Institute of Directors, and European Chemical Society.

  • Ray Bruen

    Job title: Sales Agent

    Following an indentured apprenticeship in precision engineering, Ray quickly progressed from a hands-on engineer to Key Account Manager at Tetra Pak. His sales and business development experience is backed with extensive technical product knowledge and a real understanding of the caps & closures and packaging sectors.

    Ray’s enthusiasm and desire to succeed in this highly competitive market mean he has built up a successful track record of selling into a range of businesses from small developing companies through to blue chip organisations.

  • Deborah Jones

    Job title: Commercial Director

    14 years’ experience in business development and account management within the environment, food and agri–tech sectors. Deborah brings a wide range of contacts to Floreon including directors, heads of sustainability and VP’s at major supermarket chains, international brands and manufacturers in multiple sectors. 

    Her experience includes writing and delivering a growth strategy and running a network of 28 distributors around the world. Deborah’s understanding of the sales and manufacturing processes, coupled with her passion for growing the Floreon Brand, gives her a unique ability to deliver in bringing Floreon into the mainstream. 

  • Nikolaos Kassos

    Job title: Research & Development

    Employed through a Floreon sponsored PhD research project at Bradford University’s IRC Polymer Engineering Research Group, Nikolaos is a recent mechanical engineering MSc graduate. He has a strong background in polymer research, focusing on the effect of processing on the properties of finished products.
